Tim Salvadore hits first HR of season for 14s
14U Ruffnecks Start Season Strong.
The 14U Ruffnecks season schedule features considerable travel and an abundance of tournament competition. The team will be competing in the NEBA 14U Division during April and May before launching into the bulk of tournament play for summer. Their travels take them to Georgia, New York, Tennessee, Indiana, and throughout New England. On March 27-28 the 14U Ruffnecks traveled to Diamond Nation in Flemington, NJ for the Spring Fever tournament to open their season. They did so with considerable success. The squad won its Pool and advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament. Although the third place finish was satisfying, the primary objective of the trip was to play games with an eye on developing the squad for the long season ahead. Several members of the 14-man squad were unable to attend due to high school commitments.
