The Ruffnecks program offers several 2010 Fall Baseball initiatives.  All Fall Baseball programs provide evaluation opportunities for selection to 2011 Ruffnecks travel teams.  Our Fall Baseball Program is an extension of our development plan for players in our system.  We use our Fall and Winter activities as a selection or “tryout” mechanism in building rosters for our summer travel teams.  There are no scheduled traditional “Tryouts” at this time.  We encourage players to get involved with our Fall or Winter programs.  2010 Fall Programs include the following (Details provided by scrolling down):

• 13U Fall Baseball – For rising 13 year olds and candidates for 2011 Ruffnecks
• High School Wood Bat Program – For 14U through high school players.
• Fall Scout Program – For varsity level players and college prospects

13U Fall Baseball

September 12 – October 17: Sundays Only (Tuition = $300)

Location: Wellesley, MA (High School Fields)

• Open to all current 12U players who wish to be candidates for the 2011 Ruffnecks 13U team.
• Sessions times will most often be from 8:30-noon Sundays Only. Our goal is to be as flexible as possible for other Sports commitments.  There may be some weeks when we begin at Noon.
• Eligible players must be born on or after May 1, 1997
• Teams are coached by Ruffnecks staff.  All activity takes place on the full sized diamond.
• Team cap and tee-shirt provided.  Players must provide grey pants and cleats.
• The Ruffnecks use Fall Baseball as a primary evaluation tool for selection to the 2011 13U Ruffnecks roster.

Ruffnecks Fall Scout Program – Classes of 2011, 2012, 2013

September 12 – October 17: Sundays Only (Tuition = $300)

• Open to current high school players from the Ruffnecks program as well as non-Ruffnecks in the class of 2011 and new Ruffnecks candidates from the classes of 2012 and 2013.

• Pro-style workouts.  Drill Work. Professional Scout Evaluation. Games.
• 9:00am to 1:00pm Weekly – Sundays Only.  Planned Location – Brockton Rox Stadium and some College venues.
• Coaches use this as an evaluation tool to consider serious candidates for 2011 Ruffnecks College Prospect teams
• The Scout Series program is coordinated through a joint effort among members of the Ruffnecks Staff and Matt Hyde of the New York Yankees.  Ruffnecks College Prospect Team Coach Dan Brookes, program advisor Rich Gedman, and other members of the Boston Baseball community conduct pro-style workouts and games on a weekly basis.  We also schedule several games with fellow travel organizations.

High School Wood Bat Program – 14U, 15U, 16U Players and Candidates:

September 12 – October 17: Sundays Only (Tuition = $300)

• Open to all rising Ruffnecks players and candidates who are in high school classes of 2013, 2014, 2015.
• Candidates for the 2011 Ruffnecks 14U, 15U, or 16U teams are welcome to participate.
• Teams are coached by Ruffnecks staff.
• Sessions times vary from 8:30-noon or Noon-3:00 Sundays Only
